I love playing rec softball at HGSA because of the people. Every year, I can’t wait to meet my teammates and coaches and start the season! Your fellow players always cheer you on and are still supportive even if you strike out. The coaches don’t care if your team wins or loses, they just want you to have fun. That’s what softball is all about. If you have fun, nothing else matters! One of my favorite memories was in my Graduation Game moving into the instructional group, when I was 7. Before that game, the coaches taught everyone how to pitch so we could see if we liked it. I remember that I threw one perfect strike, right down the middle, and it was my first time ever pitching! It went in slow, but it was the throw that really got me wanting to pitch. Because of it, I still pitch today!
