As a coach or parent, we all need to recognize the signs and syptoms of concussions suffered in youth sports. There is no topic more serious in youth sports (and in sports in general) currently than concussions and the long term effects.
All volunteer coaches MUST complete this 40 minute online training course concerning Concussion Awareness Training. The course is free and will provide you a certificate that you have taken the course at the completion of the course.
The Center for DiseaseControl (CDC)
Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports is a free, online course available to all to help keep athletes safe from concussion and to help coaches how to recognize that a player has sustained one and how important their actions as a coach are to the player's safety.
Once you complete the training and quiz, you print out a certificate which you can save or print out and send to
[email protected].
